The Eco Sri Rainbow Project was launched in January this year, through which funding is provided for various community projects driven by Eco Sri VET centre colleagues across the country.
This was initiated with the aim of further reinforcing the company’s commitment towards creating positive community impact, while also strengthening engagement with Centre colleagues and their families, who together drive these important projects. Funds raised through the sale of wrist bands at Eco Sri VET centres are utilized to aid the projects.
During the 1st phase of the program, 10 projects were completed within a mere three month period by VET centre colleagues across the country. These included wheelchair donations to Meth Sevana Children’s Home in Wellawaya, donation of clean water dispensers to a number of clinics in Ampara, as well as donation of filter systems to provide clean drinking water to school children in Polonnaruwa by Eco Sri VET centre colleagues in Uva, Eastern and North Central Provinces respectively.
