LAUGFS has taken step forward in its journey of inclusivity with the launch of Diduliya, our Women Empowerment initiative. This milestone reflects our commitment to creating a workplace where every woman can thrive and lead with confidence.
The launch event was a celebration of strength, resilience, and leaadership. It featured an insightful keynote address by Senior Professor (Chair) Arosha S. Adhikaram from the Department of Human Resources Management, Faculty of Management & Finance, University of Colombo, highlighting the importance of empowering women within organisations.
Adding further inspiration, Ms. Thushari Dharmakirthi, HR Consultant and Strategist, shared her personal story of resilience and overcoming challenges. The event also shone a spotlight on our very own colleagues from LAUGFS Eco Sri and LAUGFS Supermarkets, who shared moving experiences of growth and perseverance.
The presence of the Chairman, Managing Director, CEOs, and functional heads underscored the leadership’s commitment to fostering empowerment and inclusivity across the Group.
At its core, Diduliya is more than an initiative, it is a movement to inspire growth, encourage leadership, and celebrate the achievements of women across LAUGFS.
