The LAUGFS Men’s “A” Team clinched the 1st Runner-up title in the Men’s “E” Division at the Mercantile Table Tennis Association Team Knockout Tournament held on 24th May 2025.
Representing LAUGFS across different sectors, the team included Janith Nimantha Perera (L/Property), Darshana Gajaweera (L/Eco Sri), and Lakshitha Wickramarathne (L/Rubber) — a trio that rallied through intense matchups to make it to the final.
Not to be outshone, the LAUGFS Women’s “A” Team made an impressive run of their own, performing exceptionally well in the group stage and advancing to the second round. The team featured Kushani Thalagala and Nadeesh Dilrushki, both from L/Super, who showed determination and teamwork throughout.
Both teams demonstrated LAUGFS’ growing presence in the mercantile sports arena, reflecting a culture that values talent, camaraderie, and healthy competition.
